The building of the Zámecká zahrada Pension dates back to 1730. At that time, the Český Krumlov dominion belonged to the House of Schwarzenberg who also constructed a pumping station that brought the much needed water to the pond in the castle gardens.

History

In the middle of the pond, there used to be a fountain with a water jet (Vodotrysk in Czech) that gave this place its name. Tourists and sightseers would come here to enjoy a glass of draught beer from the local prince brewery, bourgeoisie and middle classes were gathering there on Sundays for dance parties and balls. In 2006, the building underwent a reconstruction and was transformed into a guest house, in Continental Europe also called pension. The front facade of the pension is still adorned by the coat of arms of the Schwarzenbergs.

Present

The Zámecká zahrada Pension (Zámecká zahrada = Castle gardens) enjoys a very convenient location: it is situated in a quiet place by the forest, aside from the city's tourist attractions. The town centre of Český Krumlov and the castle can be reached on foot within 15 minutes.

In the castle gardens, only a 2-minute drive away from the pension, you can spend hours walking and enjoying the well-tended and species-rich flora spread out over almost 11 hectares in the very centre of the old town of Český Krumlov. Within a five-minute walk from the pension, there is a restaurant and a bus stop that will take you to the city centre.

Whether you are coming for a weekend or for a few days’ vacation, our spacious, bright rooms and bathrooms and stylish interiors will be your harbour in the sea of opportunities that Český Krumlov and its surroundings open up. Quiet location and rich surrounding greenery will help you get peaceful, blissful sleep. You will be leaving the Zámecká zahrada Pension truly relaxed.

Our services

Parking: You can park your car for free in the enclosed car park at the pension during the whole stay at the Zámecká zahrada Pension.

Children's playground

Small children will enjoy themselves on a wooden climbing frame with slides and swings. The playground is located behind the pension and is safely separated by a wall and a wooden fence. Parents can use the garden seating while still keeping an eye on their children.

Pets

Smaller pets are welcome in our accommodation, extra fee will be charged - please, let us know your request in advance. Bigger pets need to be requested and confirmed by the property. Let us know in advance. Thank you!
